A verse for thought

I'm joining about 3,000 of my sisters in Christ in endeavoring to memorize Scripture this year. (See here for more info.) And the verse the Lord has been impressing on me to use and meditate on for the next two weeks is this one:

But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams." 1 Samuel 15:22 (NIV)

Have you really stopped to think about what that means? I've been pondering it a lot lately. I'll share more later.
