Thankful

Not only am I thankful for my Savior and his sacrifice, and for the generosity of family and friends as we wrap up this holiday season, but I am also increasingly thankful for my job.

On the way to work this morning, the bus had to drop someone off at the employment office downtown. At 6:45 a.m., the line was already out the door and down the street for a block. So many are struggling in this time -- I pray that I don't miss an opportunity to help where I can.

Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matt. 25:37-40)
